Task 5

  

My task 5 was to go to a NZ visitor destination. I Chose the waitakere ranges because I haven’t been any historical places in NZ so I wondered what this place would be like. I found it’s very important especially to Maori people and their ancestors. There was whole a lot of knowledge that I learnt during my trip. This significant place is dedicated to Maori history as it reflects their life.


Going to this historical place I expected to see unique customs. However what I found was the amazing views. When I got there we took a walk around the bush which was fun. I went with my classmates so wasn’t worrying about getting lost because the bush had so many narrow roads which were really confusing. Clearly I was interested in NZ native trees like the kauri gum and so many other native trees. This bush nearly reminded me of back home where we had a similar bush to this. I was really surprised how Waitakere ranges park is preserved .My classmates and I spent some time at this park where we took outstanding photos and some of us had a chance to talk to the receptionist. I would definitely recommend anyone who hasn’t got much experience about NZ historic destinations to visit this extraordinary place. Not only do you experience the history behind the Waitakere ranges and why it’s a secret for Maori people but there are also amazing views and you can walk in the bush and see different native trees.


I was excited and nervous about going into this place because it was my first time and I wondering what photos to take and etcetera. It was really nice and I enjoyed being around the bush.We were happily smiling exercising, learning new things and in the end, we had some delicious food which we brought from our homes.I really enjoyed it there and also the weather was warm and sunny. While we were having food we collaborated and discussed what evidence we got and what we need to do. There wasn’t really anything i struggled with everything was straightforward. It was good experience for me because I love exploring new things in everyday life.


Overall, for this amazing experience I would never had learnt what I did without doing this task. Despite the little experience that I had about NZ , I’m gradually learning new things and places that I didn’t even know existed. This task was overwhelming regarding my knowledge about NZ .


I convince my future task will be more flexible and easy. There is nothing for me to worry about because i’m more confident now to go out and get more information about the next coming tasks.
